The Butterfly Effect - in a continuum of Care

Through my design process, I explored conservation as an architectural practice, interpreting care through design strategies. As I intervened in the building space by space, I recognized that our interventions contribute to layers of 'Cronocaos', becoming 'acts of care' that accommodate future changes and extend the building's life. This perspective led me to critique the tendency to restore buildings to a specific timeframe. My design position embraces aging as a fact, proposing that acts of care involve both additions and removals. The elements used in care, guided by thoughtful design, create architectural opportunities, offering a dynamic approach to conservation.
