This project proposes a highly specialized facility integrating a Biosafety Level 4 (BSL-4) laboratory suite and a comprehensive Seed Bank within a single building. The BSL-4 unit will support advanced research on Risk Group 4 pathogens under maximum containment, featuring negative pressure systems, air-supplied suits, and strict decontamination protocols. The Seed Bank will focus on preserving global biodiversity through cold storage, cryopreservation, and germination research. While co-located, both units will maintain strict operational and physical separation, sharing only structural and utility infrastructure.
