LC-BioFloat

This project envisions a modular floating biocontainment facility designed to study and contain animal-borne pathogens in a post-collapse world. Independent pod-like units house labs, living spaces, and quarantine zones, and can operate alone or connect into a larger network via bridges. Each module follows strict biosafety protocols, including negative pressure systems. A retrofitted barge functions as a mobile lab and habitation unit, capable of docking or operating autonomously. Together, the system forms a resilient, adaptable floating research environment, ensuring containment and continuity in uncertain futures.
