This project is designed as a mobile bio-containment facility designed in response to a post-apocalyptic scenario where the preservation and study of endangered flora and fauna are critical for ecological recovery. Drawing inspiration from the form and modularity of a shipping container, the facility is designed to operate aboard a barge—utilizing mobility as a key strategy to reach remote or environmentally fragile zones. The architectural language embraces the industrial aesthetic and functional efficiency of shipping containers, reimagined to accommodate specialized scientific programs. The compact form is outfitted with high-performance insulation, sealed access points, and integrated containment systems, including negative pressure zones, air filtration units, and decontamination corridors—ensuring full biosafety compliance.
