Contrasting Curves

The project brief was designing an archaeological museum rooted to the place assigned- Atak Gate, Champaner, Gujarat.

This archaeological museum is based on the concept of contrasting the linearity of the massive fort wall with curves and organicity to enhance the fort wall and experience it closely. The museum is rough-textured and grounded, as in, the roof emerges from the ground, to give a tactile and earthy sense. The circulation throughout the museum is also organic and free flowing, echoing the form of the museum.
