THE HIDDEN HERITAGE- ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

Champaner is a small town in Gujarat rich in history and a UNESCO heritage site, but most of it lies underground in ruins. Thus, this archeological museum situated near Atak gate is conceptualised underground and camouflaged, and symbolises taking one back underground and giving them an insight of the town that once was. The museum hosts three permanent galleries, one temporary exhibition space, a cafe, admin, amphitheatre and toilets, and is designed with a bunch of courtyards and high walls that always ensures the sub-terrain feel.
