The project envisions the creation of an Archaeological Museum in Champaner, Gujarat. This facility will include Permanent Galleries, a space for Temporary Exhibitions, an Administrative Block, Service Areas, a Café with an accompanying Kitchen, and an Amphitheatre. The design aims to harmonize with the distinct features of the site, such as its undulating terrain, a lush canopy of trees, and the historically significant ruins of Champaner. The archaeological museum is thoughtfully positioned along the ancient pilgrimage route connecting the Jain temple and Atak Gate in Champaner. This location not only honors pilgrims’ journeys but also allows for a constructive experience as visitors traverse between these two important sites. The museum’s curved design enhances connectivity, offering a tranquil space for travelers to pause and reflect. Furthermore, by showcasing the region’s rich heritage and valuable artifacts, the museum contributes to preserving and appreciating local culture and history.
