Gate Woven

The idea for this discourse center began with the choice of site. I selected this location because I wanted to connect the land on both sides of the old fort wall, instead of treating the wall as a dead end. It was a chance to create movement through the site and bring both sides together. In the design, I kept the walls parallel to the existing fort wall and used a similar thickness. These walls are not just structural—they allow circulation and hold exhibition spaces, making them active parts of the building. The entire center is made accessible through ramps across all levels, so everyone can move through the space easily. The design includes open courtyards, shaded areas, and places for people to pause and gather. Even those who are not interested in the exhibitions can still enjoy the space. It is open, free, and welcoming to all—a place meant for conversation, movement, and connection.
