The course led us a journey of creating and understanding various systems of construction mainly pouring, assembly and masonry. It helped us in understanding how the various forces act on a structure and design it to endure for life time. It gave us an idea to look at systems as an expression and using materials to balance it out. The studio made it very evident to me how systems may be portrayed through design and gave me an understanding of scale and proportion while designing in the rich and urban context of IIM, Ahmedabad.
