Just a Biology Lab: Literally

The project literally translates a biology lab. A lab that conducts experiments involving biological samples. The project starts with literal addition of modules in the GU campus, where they are split across a street and a habitable roof forms a canopy that ties all them together. In the modules the three parts of the lab: samples, services and processing/analysis work, are made visually apparent. The glass walls, jutting out of the plinth, use skeletal shelves for samples, blank walls include service spaces and the middle is where the work happens. One can see all of this without entering the modules.
