(non)apparency

Exploring the tension between apparency and non-apparency, the performing arts school at Gujarat Arts and Commerce College embraces its context at a tri-roadway confluence. A substantial block strategically placed at this intersection utilizes viewpoints to sculpt its form, drawing inspiration from the site's geometry. Reflecting the nature of performance, the design features diverse spaces, from a Serlio theatre to informal stages, fostering varied audience engagement. Transparency blurs performance boundaries, extending it to everyday learning. Curtains and architectural elements manipulate perception, revealing unexpected spatial complexities through the observer's movement, creating a dynamic and engaging architectural experience.
