When thinking about a sorting station, the first question that arises is: how does it work? That's where the method of sorting comes in, At it's core, sorting is an act of organization based on fundamental principles to create efficiency by leveraging the properties of different materials.
Inspired by these principles, a plastic sorting and recycling station is designed for Dhal Ni Pol, Ahmedabad which features modular units and a central spine to ensure an efficient flow. Vertical elements and the movement of light shape the space, revealing layers of function and experience that evolve in response to the rhythms of the site.
