MYCOLAB GENESIS :A Research Facility on Mars

MycoLab Mars is a research lab facility dedicated to developing and testing sustainable mycelium-based habitats on Mars, leveraging mycelium's properties for radiation shielding, thermal regulation, and self-repair. The bio-composite infrastructure is energy-efficient, requiring minimal input to grow, and designed to withstand extreme Martian conditions. The facility includes five departments: Human Adaptation, Environment and Atmospheric Research, Resource and Energy Systems, Habitability Studies, and Geology. It houses 16 researchers for up to a year, simulating Earth-like conditions to test life-support systems and internal sustainability. The open-plan design fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, advancing solutions for long-term extraterrestrial habitation.
