This project is an experiment in which a ‘vertical farming’ intervention—as a means of food production—is made in an urban apartment building, and greens are integrated into living units by exploring the stacking of masses to create an interplay of different voids. Four types of units are stacked together to form stepped green voids of varying heights, which enhances the interconnection with the outdoors and provides microclimate. Overall, the project aspires the urban life to be intermingled with food production while also enhancing biodiversity through onsite flora and vibrant landscape.
