The site lies on the edge of Old and New Ahmedabad. The immediate context includes a few important city spaces such as Government and public buildings - Session’s court, Labour Court, MNC, Education institutes, Premabhai hall, Bhadra for and plaza etc. It is observed that the site remain surrounded by vehicular activities till 2AM midnight. Also the there are number of user who access the area for a short duration of 2-3 days. The old city streets have a possibility of turning into complete pedestrian nature in future. With the increasing congestion due to large amount of vehicles, the area lacks a parking facility. The site shows a great potential to facilitate a parking function. At the same time the neighborhood also needs a space to function as public plaza, as a valuable space for the city. Again the site has a potential of functioning as a public plaza. The idea is to merge these two functions in one site and that one ground to be multiplied vertically which gives back the city multiple plazas and parking spaces. The intermediate spaces of the these grounds are dedicated to programs such as co-working, co-living, convenience spaces. Futher design is evolved with the thought of invading as less as possible and plan the spaces around the existing trees on the site. Also the Right of way cutting the site into two parts is retained and relocated to Southern edge keeping the access to backside buildings intact.
