This project explores adaptability as an architectural building system, where a rational grid system meets the organic grain of the site. The design responds to shifting public needs through an evolving, modular framework that can grow, suspend, and reorganize over time. Columns emerge ad-hoc from the ground, respecting existing ecologies, while a structured system above articulates space through layers of connection and possibility. The project becomes a scaffold for civic life holding programs that range in permanence and scale - allowing the architecture to remain open-ended, responsive, and quietly transformative within its dense, urban context.
