This project reimagines historic modernist housing by embracing lived adaptations, climate responsiveness, and present-day needs. Focused on Cluster F1—a challenging site with steep terrain, structural distress, and poor ventilation—it proposes bold, contextual interventions that address accessibility, rental demand, and spatial neglect. A stepped garden reactivates open spaces, while new lightweight rental units and reconfigured ground floors enhance livability. The design draws from resident retrofits, balancing material reuse with structural stability. This conservation approach prioritizes dignity, resilience, and functionality over static preservation, keeping the spirit of modernism alive by letting it evolve with time.
