Kamati Baug, situated in Vadodara, is a historical garden that stands as a testament to the city's cultural and natural heritage. This verdant oasis, spanning over acres of meticulously landscaped grounds, offers a serene retreat for visitors. Central to the site's allure is the magnificent Banyan tree canopy, an iconic natural element that commands attention and reverence. The Banyan tree, with its sprawling branches and intricate root system, forms a majestic canopy that provides shade and tranquility. Its presence adds a touch of grandeur to the overall ambiance of Kamati Baug, creating a focal point that encapsulates the site's aesthetic and historical significance. The approach taken behind the design of the pavilion involves disrupting the grid from one end, gradually transforming the pavilion’s structure from a series of 2x2x2m cubes. Through a sequence of events, the design evolves from a confined, angular space to a more expansive area, culminating in the presence of a banyan tree in the broader section.
