This project addresses the ecological degradation of Naggar, Himachal Pradesh, caused by unplanned urban growth, steep slope construction, and tourism pressure. Focusing on the fragile watercourse ecosystem, the study proposes a balanced development strategy that integrates ecological restoration, sustainable tourism, and community participation. By regulating population density, conserving natural water systems, and mapping tourist inflow, the project aims to reduce environmental stress and promote decentralized, resilient infrastructure. Key interventions include landscape-sensitive design, eco-tourism circuits, and preservation of unbuildable terrain. The goal is to create a development model that sustains Naggar’s ecological health while supporting its socio-economic needs.
