The aim of the design is to frame principles which guide the development of the new building typologies in Mandvi Ni Pol which are beneficial to both businesses and the residents. At pol scale these principles will guide the design process in locating these new typologies. At building scale these principles will guide the design process in developing the structural system, spatial organization, skin, and the services of the building.  The design tactic involves prototyping new typologies on specific sites to help generate generalized principles of designing new typologies in the pol.
