This research seeks to decipher the juxtaposition of the modern and the regional in an attempt to define an identity, which results in a hybrid amalgamation of objects. It aims to discover how these complex ideas are architecturally manifested in different ways and would also look into the various factors that influence the action of hybridization. It explores the multiplicity of elements that contribute to the propagation of identity in a variety of cases to illuminate the unseen layers behind the multitude of regional identities that exist today. It will analyze how this hybrid model develops through the shape of time and what external factors play a role in transforming the ‘original’ into what we see today. Furthermore, it tries to understand where humans ultimately position themselves in this complex intermixing of ideas and what they identify with now.
