Harmonizing History and Modernity

Vadodara's significant Nyay Mandir, designed by Robert Fellowes Chisholm in Indo-Saracenic style, faces underutilization post district court relocation. This project proposes its adaptive reuse as an international convention center, respecting its architectural heritage. Objectives include analyzing Chisholm's style, Nyay Mandir's attributes and history, developing a sensitive design, and integrating MEP services, potentially as a modern design element. The methodology involves site visits, archival research, design exploration, MEP consultant collaboration, and report compilation, ensuring a contextually informed and functional revitalization.
