Manifesting the Built - A War of Identities!

The studio 'Figuring Archives' dealt with discovering, interpreting and engaging with Lucknow's history through its archives. The semester was broadly divided into two modules that encapsulated reading and revitalizing archives and curating an experience to engage non-academic audiences with Lucknow's history through alternative mediums. Module 1(a) focused on bringing out the bias in the archiving of Lucknow's history through a Palimpsestic Map. Using St. Mungo's Church as an archive, module 1(b) revolved around decoding built histories using the built as an archive. Module 2 then culminated as an immersive experience discussing Lucknow's regimes and power struggles through 'War of Identities'!
