This archival center is a system-driven design inspired by the beautiful tree canopies of Mandu’s landscape, situated directly across from the heritage building, Jahaz Mahal. The archive carefully blends with its surroundings while standing out through its multi-level interaction, achieved by a systemic design that thoughtfully considers and incorporates each existing tree into the overall plan. This project reflects the essence of the Baobab tree—though not native to this land, it has become an important symbol of the place. In a similar way, this archive aspires to become a significant part of the region’s archival identity.
