VERDANT RETREAT

Verdant retreat is a sustainable archival centre in Mandu, driven by the system based design approach, where sustainability is a guiding principle, incorporating the usage of energy - efficient systems, play of light as a system. The design approach is predominantly driven by systems and sustainability, which is what it aspires to be. The studio started with the case study of systems in buildings like Ronchamp Chapel and building upon these systems for deriving the final output in the archival centre project.
