This studio is dedicated to advancing the boundaries of architectural design through the integration of innovative methodologies and advanced tools. A series of interconnected exercises allows for an in-depth exploration of structural systems, material behavior, and spatial abstraction. Each project promotes the synthesis of creativity, functionality, and precision, thereby fostering a comprehensive understanding of fundamental design principles. Participants engage in constructing triangulated bridge models with finger-jointed planar surfaces, experimenting with looping surfaces and 3D lattice cores, and ultimately incorporating these systems into the design of a high-rise building. Throughout this process, the studio emphasizes iterative methodologies and collaborative problem-solving.
