This project integrates generative computational design across both precedent and proposal. A case study of Alexandra Road Estate was used to analyze spatial efficiency, terrace exposure, and passive design strategies using fitness criteria such as solar radiation, built volume, and terrace surface area. Learnings from this informed a Live–Work housing proposal in Gandhinagar, addressing emerging urban needs through data-driven typologies based on various day to day professions. The site was structured using tree-retention logic and optimization parameters like walkability, frontage, and compatibility. Together, the studies demonstrate how flexible, context-aware housing can emerge through algorithmic, user-centric architectural thinking.
