The language of Interior spatiality within architecture can assume many ways of formal appearance. They either assume an reflection of the exterior skin or a narrative that presents a night and day difference, one seen in adaptive reuse projects across the developed world, where the façade carries the history but the interior spaces find new expressions through contemporary programs. Through the studio, introduction to abstractions through new media methods and techniques of spatial sculpting within interior architecture helped understand the process of form making. The studio also imparted how architectural programs could be addressed to further expand and augment spatial vocabularies. The studio facilitated engagement with the contrasting views in form-finding as the opposing side of this debate, and its leaning towards concepts of style. The studio exercises delved into explorations ranging from drawing as spatial installations along with sculpting through architectural methods of model making, new media and will be supported by theoretical lectures and critical thinking exercises. And finally, creating a space which is a sanctuary where architecture and the body unite, fostering a harmonious balance between stillness and motion, reflection and expression.
