A palimpsest of Calcutta, a historical typology, and the event of Partition were explored through different modules. What remains common in all modules is the historiographical position as memory studies. Module one brings to the forefront the memories of displacement and dwelling of the East-Bengali Bhadralok refugees, mapping on Calcutta sites of erasures, dislocations, and ruptures. Module two aimed to simulate the built environment of the historical typology of Cabin-styled restaurants, recreating the space as a system of objects. Module three explores the unmapped terrain of children's experiences through the partition and associated trauma and attempts to spatialize the curated content.
