While analyzing the plot, I noticed some areas felt more appealing than others. Over the semester, I focused on creating a space with a diverse and pleasant atmosphere.
The plot, enclosed by a brick wall, features three significant trees: two Neem trees and a Banyan tree. I aimed to enhance these natural elements and integrate them into the design. Seasonal water surfaces shape the lower areas of the site, while higher areas provide space for buildings that add value to the site.
The design includes three buildings: a caretaker’s residence, a café, and a two-part workshop inspired by earth and trees. Each structure has a distinct design and construction style, forming an ensemble that creates a shared space. This central square is versatile and features a performance area.
