LIVING PLACES : A courtyard by the Banyan

The project aims to create a serene recreational center that integrates with a densely vegetated site, particularly embracing a banyan tree. The center features a pottery and basket weaving workshop, the caretakers residence and a modest cafe. The design emphasizes the importance of a radiant place of gathering 'the courtyard' that fosters community engagement and preserves the natural beauty of the site. A place of water was also designed in accordance with the pre-existing contours of the site.
