The proposal surrounds the existing water-crater on the site and is itself surrounded by the ever-changing backdrop of Mandu. THIS RADICAL PROJECT IS a simple thick circular wall that allows cross ventilation, aggregating the thin fractal boxes with a RAMP that continues throughout. It presents itself as if placed on the landscape—paradoxical to its contextual and programmatic expectations. As inhabitants move through the spaces, they are treated to the vistas of Mandu. The project’s concealed circulation ensures a seamless flow, guiding individuals on a journey filled with breezy and cozy spaces. Within its confines, are spaces washed with sun and breeze. At its core, this project presents an idea where wellness, well-being, and mindfulness are achieved through solitude.
