Tattva: An Institute of Indology

The Institute of Indology is envisioned as a retreat where scholars, artists, and thinkers come together to engage with Indic traditions. Set within a naturally contoured site, the project responds to the terrain through clustered built forms, multiple plinths, and staggered levels that create a central gathering space. The design blurs the boundaries between inside and outside through non-aligning roofs and open-to-sky courtyards, fostering a seamless connection with the landscape. Spaces like workshops, exhibition zones, lecture areas, and a library are interwoven with pause points and social pockets, while the dwellings are placed at a distance to ensure privacy.
