Ekatva - symbolizing harmony with the environment

The studio focuses on exploring the essence of design and tectonics through exercises that address intangible, social, cultural, and contextual dimensions. These explorations culminate in a final project set in Kapadwanj, a site rich in cultural heritage yet constrained by tight intervention requirements. The program involves designing an institute that includes workshops, administrative spaces, and a research department. To navigate the challenges of the site, Reversibility in system was developed. To further response to reversibility, demountable structure was introduce. This design approach ensures adaptability, respects the site's cultural significance, and fulfills functional requirements.
