Sangam: Water Heritage Centre

The Water Heritage Centre at Asarwa has been envisioned to be an institution which aims to open community dialogue on one of the most vital resources- water and its equitable use by creating public appeal within a facility which while identifying gaps in the relationship of existing water infrastructure and the relationship of the resources with the people/users and the gaps in the efforts to harvest, conserve and treat water (waste water). The institute acts as a model for conservation techniques in the hope that it’d be imbibed by not only the community (at local level) but also the city at large. It hopes to act as a platform for change in perception and bringing consciousness with respect to water within the community it supports (invisibly).
