CRFATING DYNAMICS: BMW INNOVATION PAVILION

Crafting Dynamics is an industrial insertion designed for the BMW regional research and headquarters, along with an exhibition space, situated on the S. P. Ring Road in Ahmedabad. The project encompasses both permanent and temporary exhibition areas, which also serve as venues for product launches. The exhibition space draws inspiration from BMW’s characteristics and historical milestones. The institute’s design mirrors the dynamic essence of automobiles, evident in the building’s curved facade and the exhibition space’s cantilevering over the double-volume product launch area. Demonstrating the dynamic nature of automobiles, the exhibition space is cantilevered around the central atrium. Additionally, the administrative section of the company connects to another atrium via a spiral staircase. The structure comprises eight primary three-dimensional trusses, supplemented by necessary structural systems for slabs and strength. Notably, the structure explores the properties of steel by cantilevering the exhibition space 20 meters, supported by the eight three-dimensional trusses.
