The Workshop at the metro station

A Critique of mass urban transitThe publicness of the transit node is largely functional, where it holds potential to be a rich and diverse place for the migrant villagers and children living around the metro station facing a lack of sense of belonging and economic vulnerability. This large public place slowly fragments into private spaces. Places of play, recycling workshop, vending are withdrawn from this bustling monstrous metro station. The project addresses this inherent marginalisation in the cities public spaces inhabiting its periphery as play for the migrant children.
