Re-take; Transformation of IIT Bombay

This project envisions Re-Take on Labs—a modular, adaptable research infrastructure at IIT Bombay to support robotics and automotive innovation. Addressing outdated, disconnected campus layouts and limited research facilities, it transforms underutilized spaces into interconnected, light-filled modules that foster collaboration and interdisciplinary work. Inspired by student experiences of fatigue and spatial monotony, the design encourages movement, spontaneity, and well-being. Bridging academic zones and reflecting the institute’s legacy of innovation, they offer a scalable, future-ready model where students and researchers can thrive through dynamic, human-centric campus spaces.
