This project at IIT Bombay reimagines academic space as a fluid, interactive environment that dissolves traditional boundaries. Located between the Departments of Earth Sciences and Aerospace Engineering, the design features a network of floating cubes suspended in steel frames, connected by bridges, decks, and staircases. Open transitions replace rigid corridors, creating seamless connections between indoors and outdoors. Co-working areas, gathering decks, and reflective courtyards foster interaction, creativity, and a sense of belonging. The architecture invites movement, dialogue, and pause—encouraging both individual focus and cross-disciplinary engagement. It is not just a space to study, but a space to feel alive.
