The Mishti Mela - carnival of sweets

The project is based on the future of Indian sweet industry in 2077. The trend is shifting towards appreciating food for its aesthetic appeal and sensory experience. You must have seen people sharing photographs of beautifully plated dishes and the ambiance of dining space on their social media platforms. So I thought of creating a wonderland of sweets, where each space serves as a unique pop-up for different Indian sweets.

Glimpse of imagined Sugary wonderland with the help of AI.

Mithai Maverick consists of molecular gastronomist because they have a unique way of representing food , A confectioner who can make different kinds of Indian sweets and a sculptor who can help with the crafting of huge artifacts.

Generated various compositions through procedural modeling which helped in establishing form and structure for the workspace.

Composition with a horizontal layout was finalised.

Pop-up spaces of the section are inspired by the AI images.

In a world where India has undergone ideological collapse due to agricultural policies due to which communal relation to the food has been altered.

Instead of materials I have chosen the color palette inspired from the ai images which gives the building a playful appearance.

Conveyor belt acts as the partition between different spaces and serves treats on offer.

Different pop-up spaces inspired from Indian sweets and Indian games.

After each pop-up space their is an outlet for the conveyor belt which keeps people moving to the next space.
