Defying Divides explores the relationship between the two opposing realms of inside and outside in housing design. Typically seen as distinct, the inside provides security and order, while the outside offers openness and freedom. This project reimagines them as lovers, longing to connect despite their contrasting natures. By softening boundaries and sacrificing parts of their essence, the two realms lean toward each other, creating spaces that feel both grounded and free, protected and open. The design celebrates their fleeting moment of unity, offering residents a harmonious experience that honors the connection between opposites.
