This project reimagines home as a space of belonging, memory, and identity in an era where standardized, commodified housing erases emotional depth. It draws from vernacular architectural languages in Ahmedabad - reinterpreting elements like courtyards, wooden windows, jharokhas, and layered thresholds to foster intimacy and community. Materials such as brick and wood, chosen for their ability to age and weather with time, evoke continuity and emotional rootedness. Beyond spatial design, the project proposes housing as a lived archive, where everyday rituals, sensory memory, and slow material decay cultivate lasting attachment and a quiet sense of oneness with place.
