Echoes of Heritage : Gardens of Sarkhej Roza's

Nestled on the southern side of Sarkhej Roza, this initiative holds profound cultural, religious, and historical significance, serving as a meticulous testament to the rich tapestry of the site. Beyond its historical value, the project is intricately designed to function as a community park, extending a warm embrace to both visitors and locals. The design decisions undertaken were marked by careful consideration, not only in catering to the diverse needs of the park’s patrons but also in harmony with the inherent characteristics and various thresholds of the site. The design journey embarked upon mirrors a captivating duality of time and life, skillfully interweaving contemporary garden design with echoes from the historical past. This thoughtful amalgamation is most apparent in the interplay of formal and informal elements within the site’s layout. The southern side is marked by structured boundaries and monuments, exuding a formal and organized aesthetic. In contrast, the northern landscape unfolds as a more laid-back and natural environment. The design process reflects this dual essence of time and life, seamlessly merging contemporary garden design with resonances from the past . This interplay of formal and informal components not only enriches the visual and sensory experience but also captures the ever-changing nature of places. The park, thus, becomes a living canvas that evolves throughout the year, offering contrasting and diverse elements on site . Overall, the project emerges as a harmonious blend of history, culture, and contemporary design, inviting individuals to explore and appreciate the evolving narrative of this significant site.
