a place for prayer

“A place for prayer is where one experiences humility, recognizing their connection to something much greater.”
The entire structure sits modestly on the site, close to the ground, with the only opening being the entrance leading to the staircase. This staircase leads first to individual prayer areas and then further down to the prayer hall, serving as the link between two underground sections. The building’s volume gradually expands as you descend, reaching its maximum size at the triple height communal prayer space.
The roof is the giver of the light, washing the rough-textured stone walls wherever it penetrates. The low roof creates a rooftop garden accessible via a ramp.
