Crafting Luminance

Gujarat boasts a diverse cultural heritage, intricately woven into its fabrics, textiles, and handicrafts. Though there are a few really good museums and interpretations centers around Gujarat, none of them cater to all the weaves and crafts indigenous to this region. The need for a Craft Retreat in Rajkot arises from the imperative to safeguard and promote these unique artistic traditions. This project explores how crafts interact with various kinds of lighting , which material requires what kind of lighting. Various ways to protect the crafts from light by lighting strategies and exploring various daylighting strategies.
