Chhaap : Impressions of light & ink

Chhaap is a printmaking studio proposed at Kaba Gandhi No Delo, Rajkot, envisioned as a branch of the Chhaap Foundation in Vadodara. Rooted in the cultural fabric of Rajkot and inspired by Gandhi’s legacy, the studio celebrates traditional printmaking techniques such as etching, lithography, woodcut, and screen printing. Light plays a central role—not only as a functional element but as a medium that enhances depth, contrast, and clarity in the printmaking process. Carefully orchestrated daylight and shadow guide the spatial experience, making Chhaap a poetic convergence of craft, light, and creative expression.
