Hansiba : A Craft collective

Hansiba – A Cultural Textile Atelier at Kaba Gandhi No Delo is a capstone interior design project that reimagines a part of Mahatma Gandhi’s childhood home in Rajkot as a living space for traditional textile crafts. Inspired by the women-led Hansiba brand, the project brings together weaving, Bandhani, and block printing in an environment that celebrates Gandhian values of simplicity, self-reliance, and community. Designed with a focus on light as a narrative tool, the atelier becomes a platform for skill-sharing, exhibition, and cultural storytelling—bridging heritage with contemporary spatial expression.
