URJA - Plastic Bottle Wall

The climatic strategy revolves around reducing heat gain in the houses of vatva using affordable and sustainable material. Something which is easy to make, maintain and work with. Here comes the idea of using waste plastic bottles to make walls and louvers. It is highly affordable and can be easily replaced if needed.
Especially focusing on the south, west, and southwest facades, the climate strategy intervention is designed to reduce heat gain on these walls and make the interior more active.
Alongside heat reduction, the strategy also looks at redeveloping the facade at a community level as a new aesthetic identity for the site. Plastic bottle walls can reduce heat transfer due to the high specific value of the water and at the same time allow the light to pass creating beautiful light patterns on the other side of the wall.
