Flex and Bean Cafe

This project explores the design of a coffee shop using a self-developed composite made from palm fiber and liquid silicone rubber. The material combines strength, flexibility, and translucency to create multifunctional interior elements such as partitions, shading devices, and lighting features. Designed for a 370 sq. m site in Sindhu Bhavan, Ahmedabad, the space responds to its urban context and glass façade through light-filtering, heat-reducing panels. The project focuses on material innovation and its impact on spatial experience in interiors, demonstrating how composites can enhance both functionality and aesthetics in interior design.
