This project emerged from a deep engagement with material research, anchored in the poetics of decay and transformation. This project explores decay as a form of transformation. Clay and jute - both organic in origin, were selected for their ability to age gracefully. Clay offered acoustic potential, while jute, burned out in the process, introduced porosity. The result, TerraJute, is a composite that diffuses sound while adding tactile richness. This library is more than a space for books, it is a place where silence resonates, and voids invite reflection. Here, decay is not destruction but evolution, a dialogue between matter and meaning. In this architecture, we find not just a place to read, but a place to listen.
